My first impression
When I saw you that day
Arms leaning against the bar
Was an eye roll
And an inkling
That you were just like the others.
Men who try to lure women in
With pretty smiles
And fruity drinks.
The kind of guy who fakes James Dean charm
When really he’s just a modern fool of a man
Trying to take what he wants
Without having to give away too much.
So I was ready to pass you by
Just like Id done to all the others who have come before.
Little did I know
That I for once, was wrong
And you were really so much more.
